Bit of a strange name for a blog isn't it? And nothing to do with books? Well it is, sort of.
Dodie Smith (known for writing the totally awesome The Hundred and One Dalmatians in 1956) wrote the incredible book that is 'I Capture the Castle' in 1948.
I was captured (!) by the first line, as were many others before me:
I write this sitting in the kitchen sink.
BEST. FIRST. LINE. EVER.
Anyway, it was the inspiration for the name of my blog, of course there would be a book reference behind it!
